Rosenhöhe

The Darmstadt Rosenhöhe, together with the Hochzeitsturm and the Mathildenhöhe is a unique work of art. A charming synthesis of exquisite trees, roses, shrubs and flower borders blend in with the surrounding Jugendstil architecture. The site, a former royal vineyard, was transformed into an English- style landscaped garden at the beginning of the nineteenth century. The royal architect of the time, Georg Moller, added tea houses and garden pavilions, some of which can still be admired.
