Prinz-Georg-Garten

A delightful rococo garden, the Prinz- Georg- Garten can be found in the north- west corner of the Herrngarten. It was laid out in 1764, in a geometric ground plan, with fountains and sundials. Not only the Prettlacksche Gartenhaus, built in 1720, can be found here, but also the Prinz- Georgs- Palais to the north, built in 1710. This palace houses the Royal Hessian Porcelain Collection, which was re- opened in 1999. This area is a jewel of Baroque garden art in the form of a secluded kitchen- and flower garden.
