The Darmstädter Turn- und Sportgemeinde 1846 e.V is the oldest sport club in Darmstadt. The 2.600 members enjoy the use of various sport grounds and facilities near the Woog, in the Bürgerpark (skating rink) or in Altrhein (boatshouse). Nearly half of the membership is younger than 18 years old. The club is active in 40 different sports from aerobics to yoga. Every discipline has its beginner's level, making learning a new sport easy. Exert coaching is guaranteed for all, from learners of all ages to semi- professional athletes. An important section is general fitness.
