The natural swimming pool Arheilger Muhlchen lies in the northern Darmstadt quarter of Arheilgen, in the middle of the green swathe of Ruthsenbach and far away from the city traffic. It was first used as a bathing lake in 1924 and is an oasis for young and old. This is also the home of many species of waterfowls and water lilies. Old trees line the surrounding park and provide welcome shade during hot summer days. The shower and changing room area has been carefully and authentically restored.
