The Alice Hospital is one of the oldest and yet most up- to- date cottage hospitals in the whole region. It treats young and old, from the Princess Margaret children's clinic to the nursing home. The older generation is well- cared for in the nursing home and in their own homes by the outpatient service of the Alice Sisterhood. Not only orthodox medicine but also alternative and homeopathic treatment is practised in the centre for holistic healing.
