Bessunger Weihnachtsmarkt

Every year at 4 p.m.on the Friday before the 1st Advent Sunday, the Bessungen Christmas Market is opened. The market is open on the 1st and 2nd Advent weekend on Fridays from 4 to 8 p.m.and on Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 8 p.m. Here, on the Forstmeisterplatz in the heart of Bessungen, young and old will find their heart's desire, eleven stalls offer a wide choice of quality goods, ranging from wooden toys, hand- knits, amber jewellery, Bessungen souvenirs, glass and pottery, candles, Christmas decorations, home- made jam and biscuits, and so on, and so on. If you feel hungry or thirsty, there's also enough choice, mulled wine, roast chestnuts, warming winter soup and hot drinks. A typical German Christmas market!
