The Schlossmuseum, founded in 1924, can be found in the old part of the castle. In twenty- two rooms, you can trace the 250 year old history of court life in a small royal residence, a history of the Hessian Landgrave followed by the Hessian Grand Duchy.
Opening hours:
Monday- Thursdays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, 10 a.m.to 1 p.m.
Closed on Fridays, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Shrove Tuesday, 1st May, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, Whitsunday, Whitmonday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
