The Intef, founded in 1953 by Prinz Ludwig von Hessen und bei Rhein, was the first institution devoted to industrial design in Germany and is still sponsored by the Prinz Ludwig Foundation. The collections and archives cover national and international industrial and graphic design from 1900 onwards. The various theme and material (glass, plastics, porcelain) collections contain exhibits from Olivetti, Villeroy & Boch, Osram, Krups and AEG amongst others.
Opening hours:
Tuesdays to Saturdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sundays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
